Meet Daniel Acosta with the Dolan Roofing Tucson Team!

Our Team Spotlights blog series highlights the many members of the Dolan team that make us tick, and today we’re shining the spotlight on Tucson, AZ roof repair technician Daniel Acosta! Daniel has been with the Dolan team since fall of 2021, and he’s already made a major impact. Let’s get to know Daniel!

Prior to working at Dolan, were you in the roofing industry? If so, how has that experience helped you in your role at Dolan?
“Before coming to Dolan I worked mostly on tile and shingle roofs, and I also did a lot of coating.”
According to Daniel, that work “Gave me the knowledge and experience I need for my position here,” but as is true for every roofer he’s “still learning every day”!
Favorite thing about your job:
For Daniel, it isn’t the easiest projects he loves, but the hardest ones. “I love the challenge and feeling of accomplishment when I finish a tough job that most people are not able to do,” says Daniel.
Favorite part of being on the Dolan team:
In addition to being a full-service roofing company, Dolan also offers construction and home exterior services to meet the wide range of storm restoration needs our customers have. For Daniel, that breadth of service offerings and knowledge throughout the company makes for a great learning opportunity!
“I feel that we have a well rounded team of professionals,” says Daniel. “For me to be able to gain knowledge in not just roofing but in other trades as well is something I am grateful for.”
Goals for the next 12 months in your role:
Daniel’s goal is to “Continue learning and working towards mastering all aspects of the trade.” We’re excited to see Daniel continue to learn and grow!
What do you find most rewarding about your work?
“Having skills that will always be in high demand.”
What do you like to do in your free time?
“I enjoy going out to dinner and movies with the family, barbecuing (pretty much anything involving food)🙂. I also enjoy weight training.”

Arizona Cardinals, U of A Wildcats
Is there a particular type of project you prefer working on? If so, why?
For Daniel, his favorite type of roof to install is metal roofing. “I really like how clean it looks when it’s done.”
Is there a project you completed with Dolan that stands out as a favorite? If so, please provide some details on the challenges you faced, the work that was completed and why you enjoyed it.
“My favorite project so far was the metal roof in Pinetop,” says Daniel. “I’d say our biggest obstacle there was definitely the wind. We had 45 to 50 mph wind gusts a couple days in a row that made it pretty difficult to work, especially with metal panels.”
In the end though, the project was a success, with the whole team coming together to complete the new metal roof. “I loved the town and the surroundings, the roof looks really nice also,” says Daniel. “It was definitely one of my favorites.”
