About Ryan Schwarzlose

Name: Ryan Schwarzlose

Title: Construction Admin

Year you started at Dolan: March of 2019

Year you entered the roofing industry: Entered roofing in 2016

Prior to working at Dolan, were you in the roofing industry? If so, how has that experience helped you in your role at Dolan?

I worked at two other roofing companies prior to Dolan. For one, I worked as a sales rep, and I was in customer service at the other. Both of those other companies gave me experience and knowledge for when I came to Dolan that has made me successful in my position.

Prior to working in the roofing industry, how has your previous professional experience helped you in your role at Dolan?

I was in customer service for a very long time even before my roles in roofing, so that helps with day-to-day interactions with customers.

What’s your favorite part of your job?

Getting to go to work and actually enjoying it! This is the first job that I have been on that I don’t wake up and dread going to work sometimes. I get to problem solve and actually be an integral part of the company, not just another body or seat to fill.

What do you like most about being on the Dolan team?

I really love the family aspect and culture. Everyone has a defined role and we work as a team to get the job done. We sometimes feel like a dysfunctional family, but at the end of the day we all get along and feel important to the company and each other.

What do you find most rewarding about your work?

When I get to put an estimate together, whether one that is mine or for one of our reps, and then it gets sold. I get the warm, fuzzy feelings that I had a hand in making the project happen. I like knowing that the homeowner is getting a needed project completed for their home, and also that our team and company are succeeding as a business.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I like spending time with my family and watching movies. I also enjoy woodworking projects.

Favorite sports team(s):

The Dallas Cowboys. But I’m a realist when it comes to them actually winning!

Is there a project you completed with Dolan that stands out as a favorite? If so, please provide some details on the challenges you faced, the work that was completed, and why you enjoyed it.

We did my pastor’s roof. It was one of my favorite projects because it’s a personal contact of mine who needed help with a problem that we were able to solve. They were great to work with and were understanding when it came to working out the logistics of replacing their roof.
