In today’s Team Member Spotlight, we’re getting to know Chris Stephens! Chris is the newest member of the Dolan Roofing & Construction family, joining our team in August 2021. His role includes both commercial sales and project management responsibilities, and he’s already seeing success with both! Let’s get to know Chris.

Year you entered the roofing industry: 2001
Prior to working at Dolan, were you in the roofing industry? If so, how has that experience helped you in your role at Dolan?
Yes, I have been in roofing and construction for 20 years. My experience in construction is from dirt to punch out on residential projects and commercial projects valued at up to $5 million. I prefer commercial roofing and building relationships with business owners and decision makers.
Favorite thing about your job:
I love both project management and the thrill of making a sale.
Favorite part of being on the Dolan team:
I’ve only been on the team for a little bit. But I like the Dolan team, I feel like part of the family already. And the trucks are nice!
What are your goals for the next 12 months in your role?
I’m aiming to sell and build at least $5 million, with zero safety issues. On the project management side, I want to complete every project on time and on budget. I’m also hoping to build a service team and sign at least six large project management contracts.
What do you find most rewarding about your work?
Diagnosing roofing problems and building high-quality roofs.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I have a lot of interests outside of work. Some of my favorite things to do are skydiving, scuba diving, spearfishing, gator wrangling, hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, ranch management… did I mention skydiving? It’s the only one that really matters!
Favorite sports team(s):
No traditional sports teams for me. My favorite team is the U.S. Army, Marines, or the Redbull Airforce.
Is there a particular type of project you prefer working on? If so, why?
I love working on big commercial roofs. They are a challenge to keep on time and on budget, and they require both experience and dedication to the mission.
Is there a project you completed with Dolan that stands out as a favorite?
Not yet! As of now, it’s only been a week. But I have three projects in the pipeline and I’m working on many others.
